About Us (or me, mostly)

When I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979 with a Nursing degree under my arm, I had absolutely no idea where I was going to employ myself. I didn't know what opportunities or interesting positions that was out there for me to take advantage of. I was not alone. Most of my fellow colleaques were in the same boat. When it came down to making a career decision we either worked for local hospitals or joined the military. At that time, the Internet was very much in it's infancy. We didn't have the luxury of going to a web site and clicking ourselves to a coolnursejob located across town or across the world. Nurses today have far more opportunities to make a difference in delivering excellent healh care. Our web site does not pretend to show every available nurse position or hospital in the world. What we tried to create is a site where nurses can find unique (cool) positions that you don't necessarily find in the Sunday classifieds. We also try to expose nurses to sites that can nuture their entreprenueral,freelance and independent spirits. We are a new site that is changing everyday. We can't do it alone.
